Faction Hostile Warp Shuffle
- If you find the need to spend large amounts of time in faction space and either can't kill the hostiles they send, or you just need to mine in peace, here's a few tricks.
-
Two ships - one is bait
- Warp two ships in, ideally you want to have the one you want to keep in system as the first ship in.
- When the attack ship comes in, if it's after the second ship, just warp it out and you'll be good.
- If you find that the first ship is under attack, simply attack the hostile with ship 2, now ship 1 is
safe.
NOTE: If it's a very powerful ship, you lose ship 2, so just send in the cheapest to repair that you can.
Warp shuffle
- When hostile ship appears, head the opposite direction.
- Once your ship is at least 10 seconds away from hostile, click hostile and attack.
- Immediately select your ship again and hit "Recall"
- Once the warp timer clicks down to about 2-3 seconds, cancel it
- DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING!
- After about 5 to 10 seconds, the hostile will become inactive and you're safe.
Cloaking
Obviously you need a higher level ship that has a cloak, but if you do, just cloak after the ship appears and it will disappear and not come back.NOTE: If you cloak before the ship appears, it will still appear, and if that is the case, just attack any other ship and the high power hostile disappears.
Currencies - This section will be added to as time allows, there's a lot here!
- Latinum

- This is the most general use in the game. You can buy it (but don't buy the latinum chest, you get more for less money from the other packs in the store) or you can earn it via a number of different means. Once you are high enough level to unlock the D'Vor, you can mine latinum nodes very quickly and refine 340 latinum per day.
- Ship XP

- This can be used to level up ships. In general you want to save this for leveling up survey ships, since the only natural way to level up a ship is by killing hostiles.
- Officer XP

- You need this to promote and to level up officers. I would advise you save up as much as you can and keep an eye on the daily events. You will find almost every day there is an event where you get rewards for spending officer xp, and this allows you to get twice the bang for your buck when you level up officers. Leveling up officers improves all of their stats, which makes them strong for attacks and away team missions.
- Trait XP

- Many officers have traits that help with away team mission critical success. Use these to level up those traits.
Refinery
- Materials - Crystal
/ Gas
/ Ore
-
These materials are used in everything but the most basic of construction and research. Many things in the
lower levels will only require common materials, which can also be purchased with latinum. Beyond that you
will need the uncommon and higher materials, which are more difficult to refine. These also come in different
grades, such as G2, G3, G4, G5. These different grades must be refined from the same grade of raw material.
Note: About once a month there will be a special bonus refinery that is far more expensive to use, but does not produce common materials. You will use more common than anything else, but since that can be purchased with latinum, it can be beneficial to store up as much raw material as possible and use it all during the bonus refinery timeframes.
- Territory - Isogen
Level 25 - You will want to mine and refine Isogen as much as possible if your alliance intends to capture territories. The G2 Isogen can be refined to also get the Progenitor Alloy, which can be used on this same tab to purchase Progenitor Cores, which are needed for territory captures. Emitters, Diodes, and Reactors are used to purchase territory buffs once you have the territories. Having territories allows you access to the Territories research tier, which has some great bonuses.
- Support
- This contains the Discovery refinery, which can use the materials you earn from weekly missions to get things such as construction/research speed ups, recruit tokens, commendations which will be needed to purchase the required items to fully level up officers, as well as spore drive components to tier up the Discovery itself. Higher level discovery equals higher level rewards.
- Resources - Biominerals
Level 15 -
You will receive these from the daily goals for killing swarms.
These allow you to convert biominerals to the basic resources.
Note: I find it incredibly useful to use this primarily for getting my hands on extra Dilithium, especially the tokens. If you still have extra, go ahead and get the Tritanium as well, and only purchase the Parsteel packs if you have extra to spare.
- Latinum
Level 23 - This is pretty self explanatory. You will want to mine enough raw latinum to keep yourself stocked to hit this every day. You get an extra 340 latinum / day, plus parts to upgrade the D'Vor ship, which you will definitely want in order to mine latinum.
